The cracked mud in Buckskin Gulch bleached out in the photo app Pixlromatic.
Sand fills the spaces between this cracked mud. Here Pixlromatic has bleached it out until the mud looks like splinters of bone. Buckskin Gulch untouched. Al is unsuccessfully trying to cool off in a sliver of shade cast by the stone wall – next time we enter the desert we will bring a gallon of water each, not just a mere litre!
