Stackables and Pixlromatic both do similar types of photo manipulation, using a selection of overlays that dramatically affect the final look of the image.
This week I’m tried for warmed-up tones that show off the old stone walls.
I felt that Stackable’s ‘Sienna’ formula was a bit too dark for this image.
Pixlromatic has a lot of strange overlays that I thought I’d never use, and ‘Divine Light’ is one of them. However, I love Pixlromatic’s over-the top version, with its rays pouring onto the ancient stone walls! I also like that the app somehow managed to preserve the blue tones of the hydrangeas.
Now for the review for the month…
Week 1. ‘Shallow’ watercolour from Waterlogue.
Week 2. Subtle hand-tinted colouring from Photoshop.
Week 3. Almost monochrome from Stackables.
Week 4. Divine light from Pixlromatic.
