One Four Challenge October Week 4: The Sacred Shore

Stackables and Pixlromatic both do similar types of photo manipulation, using a selection of overlays that dramatically affect the final look of the image.

This week I’m tried for warmed-up tones that show off the old stone walls.

I felt that Stackable’s ‘Sienna’ formula was a bit too dark for this image.

However, I love Pixlromatic’s over-the top version, with its rays pouring onto the ancient stone walls! I also like that the app somehow managed to preserve the blue tones of the hydrangeas.

The Original.

Week 1. ‘Shallow’ watercolour from Waterlogue.

(Note: this was my choice for the week – it appears that most people preferred Waterlogue’s ‘Natural’ look.)

Week 2. Subtle hand-tinted colouring from Photoshop.

  2. Wow you have some great edits this month, it was hard to choose! 🙂 I like the rays in this weeks edit and oddly I ended up liking it best, who knew? 😀

  3. I actually really like the ‘Sienna’ edit – the dark shadows around the columns gives the image a really mysterious feel. Overall I’ve chosen the week two, hand tinted edit as my favourite. 🙂 Great edits all month.
