Back to testing Waterlogue, a photo app that makes great watercolours, this time on cats.
In the past I have been disappointed in how Waterlogue translated faces, both human and cat. In December 2015 they added a ‘facial recognition’ algorithm to the program and while it still doesn’t work as well as it should the face of this little tabby cat looks pretty good. I would probably add in a bit more detail in the eye.
Another cat, a ginger one, sprawled on the floorboard. I ended up using the ‘Travelogue’ look for both these short-haired cats as it has the most detail and they didn’t show up that well in the other looks.
Where the app really shines is this piece of cheeky fluff – he looks good in almost any of the the watery looks.
