In honour of St Patrick’s Day I’ve been up to some shenanigans with photo apps and the Irish landscape.
Stone wall of castle ruins at Galley Head in Ireland painted in the photo app Psykopaint.I then ran it though Stackables, another photo app, in order to add more character. Now it looks like an old canvas that has been rolled up for a century or two. (I went a little crazy Psykopainting Irish landscapes in this post.)
Sketch Guru is one of my favourite apps, the only problem being that all the images are never larger than the size of the iPad you’re saving them in. I would love it if they allowed an option to save something that would be a little larger than 4 x 6″ when printed. This is their ‘gouache’ look.
This misty look from Pixlromatic just says Ireland to me.
Snapseed has a similarly misty look plus the ‘frames’ are much higher quality than Pixlromatic’s. Snapseed has a great set of text opions as well.
Happy St Patrick’s Day!
