I had been scouting around for an app to make a posters or banners when I lucked into the photo app Snapseed.
There are a number of great options for adding text to photos and I tried them all in creating images for my Puerto Vallarta post on the sculpture tour. The Snapseed app includes a bunch of interesting photo edges…
…plus a number of editing tricks – one of my favourites is the drama one that I used on this photo.
And another, this one being mostly about edges and text.
One more, this for the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden.
These last two images were totally edited in Snapseed using the ‘looks’, the ‘edges’ and the ‘text’ options.
My ultimate choice: a fan palm in the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden.
More on using photo apps.

there are many Snapseed apps. which one did you use.. I like pieces you have made… fun to see what you are doing.. takes some practice that is for sure.. and probably note keeping..
I can only find one Snapseed App – the one by Google Inc. Oops, spoke too soon – scrolled down and found a bunch – I think they are all add-ons. I only use the basic Google one.
Going to try that on my Ipad.. I need to make announcements for our Gallery and want to put writing on the photos. Can one layer photos or is this best done in another app. before hand. Thank you for sharing!!
They have something called ‘Double Exposure’ which layers one image over another. I always do my layering in Photoshop and this app, being free, is considerably less responsive. It all depends on what you want!
