Pineapple Lily, August’s Plant of the Month

I love these strange little lilies – I started with one and now have a dozen!

pineapple lilyI used to stuff them under the deck for the winter, a place that is dry, dark and often cold. I’ve just moved to an apartment and don’t know where I’m going to put them now – maybe in my storage locker? (One year later, sadly they did not survive the winter.)
