My travel blog has my favourite ‘travel’ photos of the year; this blog features some items that you might see when you’re travelling but it’s not likely – my favourite abstract & nature photos for the year.
January. Macro of red Anthurium (aka Little Boy Plant) in Puerto Vallarta Botanical Garden down in Mexico. February. A small series on plants from several different angles; this series of succulents were only photos I took in February that I liked.
March. Blue with white gridded dumpster abstract.
April. Looking down on the an asphalt roof.
May. Macro of Allium flowers in Stanley Park.
June. This is the first time I’ve ever seen a striped dragonfly; this one on a pine tree in Vancouver.
July. Strange cloud over the coastal islands of BC, kind of alien-looking, no?
August. Seeds forming on the spadix of a burgundy calla lily in bloom.
September. Fallen leaves in bright autumn colours clustered around the drain of a small pool creating these unusual patterns.
October. Yellow dripped paint on an accidental collage abstract.
November. The red-lit stage set for an acrobatic show in the Puerto Vallarta night.
December. Blue Agave in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.

Excellent choices. (P.S. That is an alien spaceship.) Best wishes for 2020.
I did wonder about that!
Wonderful Elizabeth. I have to pay more attention to details!
