One of the small things that absolutely delights me is layers of tape that have eroded into pieces of accidental art.
An old chair taped up in Mexico City.
Getting in closer: a taped-up chair seat on nearby Commercial Drive, with the tape looking like sheets of mica.
Sheets of mica, also close-up.
A different view of the same chair, in this case reminding me of the shaggy red bark of a cedar tree in the rain.
Another abstract of a taped-up chair seat.
An abstract of a lamppost with a strip of shiny packing tape.
A broken window taped-up with danger tape.
Layers of sun-damaged tape and cut-up posters forming a mural on a wall in Bangkok.
Peeling tape and marks left on the surface when the tape strips away the paint.
A yellow tape abstract on a bollard.
Yangon abstract: Broken glass mended with deteriorating packing tape.
Silver landscape with moon.
Abstract of weathered clear tape on blue dumpster.
X marks the spot in the COVID line-up one year later.
Abstract of weathered tape on a faded green lamppost.
Weathered sticky tape so old it’s growing lichen…
Not sure what’s happening here; I see a red pole and want to paint it black, and then add loads of tape….
Ghosts of extremely eroded tape on a black lamppost.
Abstract of tape on a metal pole holding a railway signal light.
Eroded tape & rust design on a white post.
Extremely weathered sticky tape kind of reminds me of the bark of a palm tree.

Wow. THAT is a study of tape! Very well done.!!!
Who would have thought that layers and layers of tape could be so interesting?
Nice abstracts!
